Stylus London Forum: Future Fast Consumption


Stylus took over the Royal Institution in London – where pioneering thinkers from Michael Faraday to Richard Dawkins have lectured since its founding in 1799 – for our latest Innovation Forum, on Future Fast Consumption, last week (November 8).

Drawing on reporting across our Retail, Media & Marketing and Food, Beverage & Hospitality divisions, the forum delivered an in-depth look at the future of malls, next-gen functional food, how to engage the female shopper, and much more.

We also heard from guest speakers Micke Paqvalén, founder of e-commerce platform Kiosked; US marketing consultant Kenyatte Nelson; and Jane Kellock, co-founder of The Women’s Room blog. Paqvalén demonstrated one-click online selling via a Kiosked video from British musician Dave Stewart. Meanwhile, Kellock offered insight into engaging the older woman by explaining how millennial culture and aspirations are not limited to the young.

During breaks between talks, attendees were able to sample a selection of “future foods”, including probiotic chocolate from OhSo, vegan Freedom marshmallows from and powerfully antioxidant green tea drinks from the UK’s Vivid Drinks. A range of luxury milkshakes from Mr Sherick’s Shakes were also on offer.
