Every Thing We’ve Heard by Paula Zuccotti

London-based Argentine author, industrial designer and artist Paula Zuccotti has created Every Thing We’ve Heard – a display of the objects that might be touched by the US presidential candidates over the course of a day, as imagined by the artist.

Juxtaposing the important and the irrelevant, the resulting caricature compositions are a visual synthesis of everything that has been said, seen, posted, tweeted and discussed during this extraordinary campaign. The work features everything from Hillary Clinton’s highly praised pantsuits and infamous hot sauce, to a Miss USA sash and collection of bricks in reference to Donald Trump’s pageant connection and campaign promise to build a wall between the US and Mexico.

The work follows Zuccotti’s book Every Thing We Touch: A 24-Hour Inventory of Our Lives – a visual documentation of people’s relationships with everyday objects. At the time of its publication, Zuccotti told Stylus: "I was amazed by how much you can tell about someone's life by looking at their objects: what they consume, need, treasure, ignore, and can't let go of. The layers of insights are huge."
