Neutral Haze Furniture by Wonmin Park

South Korean designer Wonmin Park has created an exciting new range of his Haze furniture series in grey, white and navy.

Unlike his previous pastel-coloured collection, which featured hues of Yellow Light, Blue Vapour and Pale Pink, the new range offers a more neutral palette of lustreless Pearl Green, muted Twilight Blue and White Dust.

The eight-piece collection is made from slabs of semi-translucent, colour-tinted resin and includes tables, chairs and shelving. The grey, white and navy hues vary in tone, opaqueness and texture, and as light passes through the resin, it diffuses the colour and softens the furniture’s form.

The new series was commissioned by the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Korea (MMCA) for an exhibition called Design; Another Language, and will be on show until April 20 2014.

The use of diffused colour is further explored in our S/S 15 Colour Spectrum concept, Fade Out. For more colour inspiration from this muted palette, see our S/S 15 Colour Spectrum concept, Play of Light.
