New Condé Nast Quarterly Baku

In a bold move, publishing giant Condé Nast has announced the launch of a new lifestyle and cultural magazine, Baku, representing the Eurasian country of Azerbaijan.

Debuting in October, the quarterly title will feature fashion, art, and ‘intriguing’ elements of Azeri culture, and will operate as a spin-off of the original Baku magazine, launched in Russia in 2007. An original print run of 20,000 will be distributed within key locations in the UK and US, as well as other European destinations.

Leyla Aliyeva, daughter of the president of Azerbaijan (pictured here), has been named editor-in-chief, with Vogue Turkey’s fashion director Mary Fellowes continuing in her role for Baku.
