Bompas & Parr’s Mercedes Drive-Thru

UK-based gastronomic duo Bompas & Parr teamed up with German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz to curate a unique dining experience for this year’s London Fashion Week.

The Mercedes Drive-Thru – located in the lobby of the old Selfridges Hotel in London – took diners through a temporary drive-thru restaurant, designed to propel the act of in-car dining into an extraordinary sensory experience. An immersive, pulsating light show by British multimedia artist Jason Bruges entertained guests while they placed their food orders, which were delivered by Marawa and the Doughnuteers' – a troupe of rollerblading waitresses.

Bompas & Parr co-founder Sam Bompas said: “We create luxury dining, and Mercedes produces luxury cars – working together to create the world’s best drive-thru is therefore an obvious collaboration.” The event ran from September 14 to 16 2012.
