Angry Birds Activity Parks

The first Angry Birds activity parks will launch in Finland in 2012, featuring slides and rope swings based on the popular smartphone game app.

Rovio, Angry Birds’ Finnish parent company, has signed a deal with activity park developer Lappset Group. The first two parks will open in Finland next year, with several more also proposed for the UK.

The launch of the parks follows the release of a treasure trove of merchandise including toys, jumpers and speakers, making Angry Birds one of the strongest app-based licensing success stories. A cartoon series based on the app is also scheduled for release on television and online for next year.
