Bo-Kaap, Cape Town

Stylus visits the brightly coloured district of Bo-Kaap, part of the historic Malay Quarter of Cape Town, in search of inspiration. A vibrant beacon at the foot of Signal Hill, the neighbourhood was founded by a culturally diverse community of artisans, many of whom moved to the area when freed from slavery, leaving a legacy of colour that still exists today.
