Pre-Fall 16 Trend Flash: In the Pink

With Pantone announcing Rose Quartz as a Colour of the Year for 2016, we can guarantee this is a trend with mileage, whatever your market level, as the sugary pinks of Spring/Summer evolve into something more neutral.
There is a welcome sense of warmth and wellbeing in this new pink palette, perfectly pitched to layer back with everything from mid-tones like sage green and taupe, through to denim blues and black – even to team in offbeat mixes with soft lemon yellow as seen at Red Valentino.
It’s a commercial standalone colour too, perfect to develop across all product areas, from transitional dresses through to knits and even outerwear and accessories. And if your customer isn’t quite ready for the full-on sugar hit of candy pink, make this your default palette for A/W 16-17.
