It was girl on a motorcycle-meets-Coachella rock-chic for Claire Waight Keller’s latest Chloe outing, full of the season’s prettiest ruffles coupled with luxe-touch leathers and shearling.
The formula might have been a tried and tested one, but Waight Keller has the Chloe girl nailed. She’s the festival chick we all aspire to be in her cropped leather jeans, oh-so-cosy shearling cagoule, and ethereal ruffled chiffon smock dresses.
And from Coachella’s laid-back glamour, to rustic Woodstock influences, with hippie-deluxe embroidered tunic tops and throw-on serapes, while pretty, ruffled lace blouses had that precious 60s raiding-the-dressing-up-box vibe.
All-in-one biker leathers, leather dungarees and Moto-X jackets might have toughened up the look. But the Chloe girl is a romantic at heart and remains faithful to those signature, billowing chiffon dresses and smocks, seen here in ivory and soft champagne neutrals with sprigged floral prints and feathery tassel trims.
High snakeskin ankle boots sporting double zips, neckerchiefs and simple X-body bags finished off the festival vibe. The look may not have been a new one, but it will fuel many a high-street lookalike anytime soon.
