Aurelia’s Wellness Skincare Tool

Aurelia Skin Tool

British probiotic skincare brand Aurelia’s new digital consultation tool offers users a bespoke skincare and lifestyle plan – tapping into bankable wellness lifestyle trends and skin analytics.

Accessed online, The Aurelia Skincare Tool runs consumers through a typical day. Questions on sleep, water intake, stress levels and beauty concerns lead to recommendations based on its skincare offering, as well as wider lifestyle tips – such as how much water to drink to combat skin dehydration, or how to reduce stress for a good night’s sleep.

As lifestyle factors such as dehydration or lack of sleep physically affect the skin, offering topical product recommendations as well as lifestyle guidance to tackle these issues is a shrewd move.

In our Beauty 360 report, part of The Business of Wellbeing Macro Trend, we highlight the importance of a 360-degree approach to beauty, which puts inner health and balance at the centre of outer beauty. Aurelia’s tool directly (and inexpensively) associates the brand with the wellness lifestyle, and better serves its customers with more targeted beauty solutions.

While on the lower end of the tech credential spectrum, the tool also taps into the concept of beauty analytics, which is driving consumers to adopt gadgets, apps and devices into their everyday beauty routines to better understand their skin and its needs. We highlight this as a growing category for the year ahead in Product Projections 2016: Beauty and E-Beauty: Digital Device Boom.
