The Loan Closet

Lånegarderoben (or Loan Closet) based in Stockholm, is a library with a difference. Rather than borrowing books, visitors borrow clothes. Pitched as part of the larger move towards a more ethical fashion industry, counteracting growing levels of consumption, the Loan Closet aims to help people renew their wardrobes on a regular basis without adding to landfill.

With a six-month membership fee of around £45, customers can take out up to three garments every three weeks.
