Emirates Air Cable Car

Emirates Airline is sponsoring the new cable-car system which will run between the newly named Emirates Greenwich Peninsula and Emirates Royal Victoria Docks train stations in London, scheduled for completion in 2012.

The Emirates Air Line will provide commuters and visitors to the city with aerial views across London as they travel between the stations. It is hoped that the UK's first urban cable car will help facilitate regeneration of East London. Construction work began in July, and the project is said to be on track to open next summer.

The £36 million deal is the biggest in the UK for the airline since sponsoring the Arsenal football stadium and football shirts.
