Brazilian Design at Galerie Zeitlos

Europe’s biggest exhibition of Brazilian design to date will open next week at contemporary design gallery Galerie Zeitlos in Berlin.

Brazilian Design: Modern and Contemporary Furniture will showcase mid-century, modernist classics by the likes of late architect Oscar Niemeyer and Oca furniture store founder Sergio Rodrigues. These will be complemented by contemporary pieces including those by Rio-born designer Zanini de Zanine, and São Paulo-based Carlos Motta.

Elegantly recycled materials of Amazonian woods and a confident approach to materials and craftsmanship – a language eponymous with Brazilian design – will be brought together in this first collective celebration of Brazil’s noted modernist and contemporary designers.

Brazilian Design: Modern & Contemporary Furniture runs from March 22 to May 5 2012.
