Woven Watercolour

Shanan Campanaro, the Brooklyn artist behind the label Eskayel, creates wall coverings and fabrics based on her artwork. Taking the next step she has collaborated with New York rug manufacturer Doris Leslie Blau on a collection of ten rugs that manage to perfectly translate her delicate brushstrokes and ink lines into woven form.

Utilising pashmina wool as well as more unique materials such as banana silk and aloe, each design is based on an original artwork, although the final colour choices can be changed to suit a client’s specifications. The rugs are priced from $3,500 to $30,000.
