LDF 2013: International’s Apollo Lighting

International, a London-based industrial design studio, presented its Apollo light shades at London Design Festival. Shown in Designjunction’s new Lightjunction section, the layered aluminium light shades stood out in a sweeping installation that included over 200 of its modular pieces.

Apollo consists of four different forms that can be stacked in different combinations over a standard screw-cap light holder. Made of 1mm spun aluminium, the anodised shades come as either solid or perforated versions, allowing light to be filtered to varying degrees.

London Design Festival ran from September 14 to 22. Stylus editors rounded up their highlight events and exhibits in the London Design Festival Preview report.

Coverage of the event can be explored using hashtag #StylusLDF13 on Twitter and Instagram. Our full London Design Festival report is published shortly.
