Sherwin-Williams: Colour Travels

American paint industry giant Sherwin-Williams has collaborated with US advertising agency McKinney on an imaginative and playful animated TV campaign to promote its range of colour palettes for 2013, called Colour Travels.
Directed and produced by award-winning American animation studio Buck, Colour Travels takes viewers around a colourful world made up of Sherwin-Williams swatch cards and colour chips. Shots transition from tulip fields in Holland through to the Red Square in Russia, a Mexican village, a Chinese temple, the Statue of Liberty and the Golden Gate Bridge, before ending with the tagline: “Where will colour take you?”
McKinney’s solution shows an innovative, light-hearted approach to advertising colour. For more on creative marketing within the domestic paint industry, see the Stylus report Connecting with Consumers: Domestic Paints.
