Festival of Dangerous Ideas

The annual Festival of Dangerous Ideas brings together international speakers to discuss controversial issues, held this year in Australia.

Highlights of this year’s festival include Wikileaks founder Julian Assange discussing the future of Wikileaks, a panel discussion, following the Arab Spring, on how new media can drive protests using Twitter and Facebook. Environmental expert Richard Dennis will talk about why environmentalists should give up on sustainability.

Festival of Dangerous Ideas takes place at Sydney Opera House on October 1 and 2 2011.
