Christmas 2016 Confirmation: Ornate

Our 2016 Christmas Design Direction Ornate celebrates Indian heritage and is identified by luxurious embellishment. We take a look at how the opulent aesthetic has translated to market, highlighting the seasonal decorations and accessories on offer.

  • The saturated tones of deep red and rich yellow are uplifted with gold and bronze shades – making this a colour palette that can easily be integrated into the home for a luxurious seasonal style.
  • A patina-resembling finish gives decorations, accessories and tableware an antique character. Luscious velvet is used in smaller decorations and combined with gilded lace and jewels to add a majestic touch.
  • Delicate ornamental and geometric filigree is seen throughout decorations, packaging and accessories, underpinning the traditional craftwork found in Indian culture. Pairing coloured glass with golden metal tones elevate basic cylinder forms found in home accessories.
