Franc Franc Craft

Major Japanese home furnishings retailer Franc Franc – which has 95 outlets in Japan, as well as branches in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Korea – has launched a Craft range with a strong emphasis on handmade products.

The new range uses more natural materials – such as soapstone and wicker – that have been collected from all around the world. In what is almost certainly a nod to Japan’s diminishing supply of non-renewable energy sources, the brand highlights the fact that the items are produced entirely without electricity. In this way, the consumer is indirectly saving energy.
