Stéphanie Baechler: Fabric

Swiss textile and fashion designer Stéphanie Baechler’s Fabric project examines 2D and 3D colour and texture harmonies to produce a printed textile.

Baechler began by arranging coloured fabrics in accordance with how different hues interacted when placed together. She then photographed these arrangements and reproduced the resulting images on fabric, creating textured patterns that combine colour and tone in a trompe l'oeil effect.
