FaceTime with InterContinental

The InterContinental hotel chain has launched a new customer-to-staff video conferencing service.

Guests can now connect with the hotel concierge via Apple’s FaceTime videoconferencing service via the new video-capable iPad 2 tablet. Travellers can now ask questions or seek advice from staff before they arrive at the hotel.

Starwood’s Westin, Le Meridien, Sheraton and W Hotels previously introduced a similar service. Guests were able to talk face to face with members of staff, complete transactions including bookings, and check account balances.
