Launched earlier this month, Fashion Vs Sport is a UK-based online magazine focused on celebrating the cultural links between lifestyle, fashion and sport.
The editorial focus reflects the viewpoint that women largely view sports products as lifestyle tools for better living, as opposed to the traditional male view, which is much more goal oriented (as highlighted in our Future Female Industry Trend report, Female Focused Retail).
Fashion Vs. Sport lightly touches on performance, concentrating its efforts on tapping into current fashion trends and lifestyle-oriented brands instead. Among the companies highlighted in the launch is UK-based Rapha’s performance cycling wear, which is a good example of a brand straddling both the avid and casual cyclist market.
