Curzon & Uber Eats Bring the Cinema Experience Home

With cinemas continuing to wait out Covid-19, innovative companies are developing offerings that bring the movie theatre experience to consumers’ homes. UK cinema chain Curzon has teamed up with Uber Eats to deliver cinema-themed food bundles straight to viewers’ doors.

The bundles include a box of Curzon’s own freshly made sweet popcorn, a gourmet hotdog in a brioche bun topped with crispy onions, a pack of honeycomb and chocolate bites, a salt and pepper nut mix, and a negroni cocktail slushie.

It also features other cinema-themed goodies to up the at-home movie-screening experience, including a cup-holder cushion to prevent drink spillages, and a sign telling viewers to turn off their mobile phones. Each order also comes with a 50% discount voucher for individuals to redeem against Curzon Home Cinema, the chain’s online movie-streaming service, which has seen a 360% boost in usage during the lockdown period so far.

This package appeals to consumers who are craving immersive entertainment experiences that evoke real-world ambience.
