Tory Burch Enters Fragrance Market

American fashion designer and socialite Tory Burch is to launch a debut fragrance in conjunction with Estée Lauder Cosmetics. The Aramis and Designer Fragrances division of Estée Lauder Cosmetics has signed a licensing deal with Burch.

The Aramis division has already acquired the beauty licenses of Italian fashion houses Marni and the Ermenegildo Zegna Group this year. Tory Burch is famously interested in new departments and businesses – having already ventured into the realms of footwear, handbags and costume jewellery, in addition to her ready-to-wear collection the brand launched with. Swimwear, homeware and men’s accessories and gifts are also all in the pipeline for 2012 and 2013.

The first product from the signing is expected to be a women’s scent, set for launch in 2013. A cosmetics collection is also anticipated, with all products distributed throughout Burch’s 60 freestanding stores worldwide.
