Heliocosm’s Timber Tunnel

Paris-based Freaks Architects has designed a store for French cosmetics brand Heliocosm, which incorporates a rectangular wooden tunnel to simulate the feeling of moving from one world to another.

Integrating product display units and up-cycled vintage furniture, the 20m long timber tunnel sits in the centre of the store surrounded by a dream-like interior with cool-mint coloured walls.

Pushing the notion of escapism even further, the tunnel leads customers into a lounge and tearoom, illuminated by a floor-to-ceiling image of snow-covered mountains - a temporary haven from the hectic city streets outside.
