Sally Singer Nail Art

Sally Singer, editor of The New York Times’ T Magazine, has joined forces with Japanese nail artist Maki Sakamoto and Swiss photographer Raymond Meier to create five 3D nail art designs for online design platform Nowness.

They include a textured concept inspired by taxi-driver seat covers, salmon pink nails with 3D Mexican sugar skulls, and orange Celine nails, with a single logo of the fashion brand emblazoned on the thumb. The glittery blue Kate Middleton nails feature a gold crown motif, while the sugary sweet Powdered Violet nails are a feminine design with an ‘extravagant old lady’ aesthetic.

All of the designs are cohesive with current fashion directions and seasonal trends. Singer herself explains the designs on Nowness, with suggestions as to how she would wear them, and what with. Singer has previously spoken of having her nails done personally by Sakamoto at New York nail salon Valley in an interview for beauty blog Into the Gloss.
