Dirt Banquet

Experimental gastronomic duo Bompas & Parr have hooked up with Guerilla Science – a UK-based company offering installations, demonstrations and experiments – in an attempt to engage people in the fascinating world of science.

On April 2 2011, they will host a Dirt Banquet at a secret London location. Inspired by the physical, biological, ethical, architectural, social, political and temporal dimensions of dirt, the feast of filth will showcase fantastical food, such as radioactive cheese serum and aphrodisiac desserts.

Designed to be a thought-provoking and appetising experience, each course will be accompanied by an expert, including anthropologist Val Curtis, who will guide guests through the evolution of disgust.
