Cos Mobile Pop-up Store by Chmara Rosinke

Playing with the concept of mobile hospitality, Swedish fashion brand Cos has commissioned Polish design duo Chmara Rosinke to create a portable retail display unit.

Tying in with the minimal aesthetic of the fashion label, the unit is made from pine and combines clean lines with functionality. The system is capable of various configurations to complement the hand-chosen garments on display. When compact, the trolley can be easily wheeled around.

The portable unit will be placed in Marseille’s city centre for a week this month to celebrate the French city being named European Capital of Culture.

This design encapsulates both the demand for imaginative design in smaller spaces and the increase in lifestyles on the move (Design Democracy: Shift), as well the notion of the agile store, providing greater consumer engagement outside of bricks-and-mortar stores. (Anywhere Retailing: Nomadic Retail).
