The Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona is the largest annual gathering for the mobile phone industry, with more than 67,000 attendees.
Global mobile manufacturers and network providers as well as prominent figures from the automotive, banking, health and retail sectors attended the four-day conference and exhibition programme. More than 50% of visitors are C-level staff, with over 3,500 CEOs attending.
MWC 2012 saw more than 1,500 companies exhibiting the latest mobile technologies, ranging from conceptual visions of the connected home, to super-fast smartphones with 4G LTE (Long Term Evolution) connectivity. Stylus summarises the key themes from the event.
