Independent London gallery The Aram Gallery is hosting an exhibition exploring how 3D printing is changing the design industry, called Send to Print/Print to Send.

It features the work of both emerging and established designers and studios from the fields of architecture, industrial design, fashion, and product design. They are pushing the capabilities of the technology and using it to adapt their design processes, particularly during the prototyping process.

The exhibition includes London Royal College of Art graduate Markus Kayser’s Solar Sinter, a solar-powered 3D printer designed specifically for use in the desert. Read more about it in Infinite Production. Send to Print/Print to Send runs from January 13 to February 25 2012.
