Andaz’s Foodie Christmas

Extra

The Andaz Liverpool Street hotel in London has established strong links with the design industry and as an official partner of the London Design Festival the hotel hosted six installations by key design groups during the event. Continuing this relationship, the hotel has commissioned Studiomama designer Nina Tolstrup to enhance the main entrance with an experiential seasonal installation.

Tolstrup has decorated the hotel lobby with wooden stars made from off-cuts that would otherwise have been thrown away. In the midst of this, adding festive warmth, the designer has assembled an adaptation of her mobile Outdoor Kitchen – unveiled during this year’s London Design Festival – to serve visitors Christmas treats including freshly baked cookies, mince pies and hot beverages.

Visitors can recreate the scene at home using take away templates and instructions for the star decorations, as well as recipes.
