Mini Moderns Launches Eco Paint Range

British homeware brand Mini Moderns launched a range of environmentally responsible paints at the Tent London trade fair, as part of the London Design Festival last week. The range is a collaboration between the brand and UK-based Newlife Paints – Europe’s only paint-recycling company.

Newlife Paints has developed a method through which waste water-based paint is reprocessed to create premium-grade emulsion in a variety of colours. The paints contain up to 90% waste paint, which would otherwise have been sent to landfill or incinerated.

The Mini Moderns eco paint collection features 12 modern, fresh colours, which match the colours in the brand’s existing range of wallpapers and furnishings. As well as standard 2.5-litre tins, the paint is available in 250ml Project Pots – these are twice the size of a normal sample pot, allowing customers to test colours or  complete small projects, such as feature walls, without waste.
