Mountainous Office Design

An office space inspired by the dramatic local landscape in Chongqing, Western China, offers a distinctive and unconventional setting for property sales.

Designed by Hong Kong-based practice One Plus Partnership for Chongqing Mountain & City Sales Office property specialists, the unusual work environment takes its visual cues from the mountains and valleys of the surrounding Nanshan District. The multi-faceted walls of the exclusive client meeting room, or “clubhouse”, echo the geological crags and caverns found nearby.

A triangulated marble floor pattern gives the sense of uneven terrain while suspended LED lighting evokes imagery of soft rain. Furniture items also reflect the environmental theme, arranged as rock-shaped elements strewn in seemingly random arrangements. Styled in a rich metallic palette, the overall aesthetic is a mix of sci-fi fantasy and opulent luxury.
