Miroïke Zip-Off Shoes

Berlin-based fashion label Miroïke has launched an innovative zip-off shoe that allows consumers to wear one pair of shoes in two styles.

The Zip-Shoo collection’s zip-off soles allow styles to be worn as both wedges and flats, with separate uppers and soles available for purchase. As well as zippers around the soles, the boot-style uppers features zip detail across the front for a utilitarian aesthetic.

Launched in 2004 by Ulrike Seidel and Ramiro Calderon Alvadoro, both graduates from the Berlin University of Arts, Miroïke places great emphasis on craftsmanship and functionality with an avant-garde aesthetic. The label currently shows its collection seasonally at Tranoi during Paris Fashion Week, producing clothes and accessories in addition to shoes.

The wedge-style boots start at €505 (£421) and come with one pair of uppers, one pair of wedge platform soles, and one pair of flat soles. The Zip-Shoo collection is currently only available to purchase from the Miroïke online store.
