Solar Kitchen

The travelling Lapin Kulta Solar Kitchen Restaurant is the brainchild of Catalan designer Martí Guixé, Finnish food visionary Antto Melasniemi, and Lapin Kulta beer.

The restaurant is based around food cooked using only energy from the sun in a solar kitchen. The restaurant is designed to re-connect us with gourmet cooking, beer, good times and of course, the sun, which according to the website affects the taste and texture of food – creating a new culinary experience.

Having begun its journey at Milan Design Week this month, the Solar Kitchen will uproot and follow the sun through Europe during the summer – stopping off at Stockholm and Helsinki on the way.
