Jessica Eaton: Cubes for Albers and LeWitt

Montreal based artist Jessica Eaton’s body of work examining the colour theories of Josef Albers and Sol LeWitt is currently on show at Higher Pictures, New York.

Cubes for Albers and LeWitt explores additive colour using multiple exposure photography to layer red, green and blue on top of each other, resulting in geometric shapes that display a variety of primary and secondary colours alongside tonal tints. Eaton’s expertise highlights the beauty of coloured light which cannot often be seen by the naked human eye.

The exhibition runs until December 17 2011.
