Absolut Unique: Artful Vodka Bottles

French-owned Swedish liquor brand Absolut Vodka has released four million uniquely designed bottles. It’s the first ever limited-edition range produced by a spirits manufacturer where every single bottle is different.

Using a spray-painting technique, colour-generating machines were specially programmed to create variation and randomness. A mix of 38 different colours and 51 pattern types coat the one-of-a-kind bottles to offer the consumer a wealth of expressions to choose from.

Absolut’s Unique bottles will be released worldwide on September 3 2012. For more on imaginative alcohol packaging adapting to shifts in the marketplace see our report: Packaging: Rebranding Alcohol.
