Project Ocean

London department store Selfridges has teamed up with a number of environmental organisations, including The Zoological Society of London and Greenpeace, to launch Project Ocean on May 11 in a bid to raise awareness and save our oceans.

During a five-week programme of events, Selfridges shoppers can look forward to interactive exhibitions, film screenings, debates, talks, cooking demonstrations and a guide to understanding which fish you should buy and avoid in order to eat sustainably. There will even be giant sea creatures made from biodegradable balloons by New York artist Jason Hackenwerth in the store’s central atrium.

Stylus is attending the event Tales from the Deep on 2 June to hear the inspiring stories of four ocean explorers. We will keep you posted.
