“We’re seeing a rise in what’s being called the anxiety economy,” Emilia says. “People are looking for a way to calm down, and CBD is giving them a means to do it.”
Which areas, then, are ripe for innovation?
“Right now, it’s just a wild west,” Emilia adds. “People are running to see what they can do. One train of thought is that CBD is going to become a vitamin, and so we should just try to infuse it in everything.
“One space we’re following very closely is how CBD is giving a platform to so many broader issues, like mental health, women’s health, and helping alleviate the opioid crisis.”
