Lady Gaga's Stylist to Launch Line


Nicola Formichetti, fashion director for style maverick musician Lady Gaga, is launching his own label in for spring/summer 2012 that will preview in a pop up shop in Tribeca during New York Fashion Week in September.

The shop, called Nicola’s, will preview his own line and showcase 12 young Chinese designers plus designs from Japanese high street brand Uniqlo, pieces he has created for French fashion house Mugler and one off designs for Gaga.

Formichetti has been creative director at Mugler since 2010 and is fashion director for Uniqlo and Vogue Hommes Japan. The Japanese-Italian creative consultant has gained international notoriety in recent years through his avant-garde styling with Lady Gaga. He was awarded the Isabella Blow Award for Fashion Creator at the 2010 British Fashion Awards.

Nicola’s will be open from September 8 to 21 at 57 Walker Street, New York.
