Van Cleef & Arpels Opens Jewellery School

Luxury jewellers Van Cleef & Arpels are to open a jewellery school in February 2012 that will offer a non-technical curriculum in fine jewellery knowledge.
L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels will be based in Paris, the home of the brand, and will offer short courses of seven modules, with each module lasting four hours. Courses will be available in English and French, and group sizes will be limited to 12 people.
The school aims to offer various professional insights, with jewellers, art historians and gemmologists on hand to share their expertise. The course will include handling jewellery, training salons for learning, and in-depth discussions and seminars. The course syllabus includes modules on the power and symbolism of jewels, jewellery design inspiration and the history of Van Cleef & Arpels.
Located in an 18th-century town house on Place Vendôme in Paris, L’Ecole Van Cleef & Arpels opens for enrolment on November 15 2011.
