Boots UK Launch Christmas Ad and App

Stylus attended the launch screening of UK health and beauty chain Boots’ Christmas television advert at the W Hotel in London on November 8.

‘Let’s Feel Good’, the new strapline of its 2012 offering, sees Boots drop its ‘Here Come the Girls’ strategy after four years. Company representatives hope the new marketing approach will appeal to a more diverse audience and inspire its customers to give gifts ‘that keep on giving’. The 60-second ad launches nationwide during the X Factor on November 10.

The first Boots Christmas iPhone app also launched today. Designed to make the Christmas shopping experience easier and more enjoyable, the free app features a gift list, gift ideas, search and explore, and barcode-scanner functions. Using separate technology, UK customers can also scan the QR code on a special gift tag that’s available free in-store and film a personal video greeting to attach to gifts.
