Salvatore Ferragamo Marilyn Monroe Exhibition

Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo has announced it is to hold an exhibition in 2012 dedicated to iconic Hollywood starlet Marilyn Monroe.

The luxury brand will pay tribute to the style icon with an exhibition at Florence’s Museo Salvatore Ferragamo. The show will include 14 pairs of Ferragamo shoes owned by Monroe, as well as some of her most famous film costumes, and artworks depicting the Some Like it Hot actress.

The exhibition will run from June 2012 until January 2013, following the newly released Simon Curtis film My Week with Marilyn, starring American actress Michelle Williams as Monroe. The Salvatore Ferragamo Museum is familiar with hosting exhibitions dedicated to iconic starlets, having previously staged Greta Garbo: The Mystery of Style in 2010.
