Henrik Vibskov

Henrik Vibskov may be best known as one of Denmark’s most acclaimed fashion designers, but a new self-titled book surveying his career to date highlights the full range and scope of his artistic work.

In addition to heading up his eponymous international fashion label – known for its offbeat, avant-garde aesthetic – Vibskov is also a talented visual artist, musician and set designer. A recent recipient of the Jury Prize of the Year at the DANSK Fashion Awards 2012 in Copenhagen, he combines all of his skills when presenting his collections, creating events that are part catwalk show and part art installation.

Bringing together sketches, visual inspirations and commentary from fashion academics and Vibskov himself, the book examines the significance of the designer’s contribution to contemporary fashion, and provides an insight into his multi-disciplinary working practices.

Henrik Vibskov, €39.90 ($51), is published by Gestalten.
