Borg + Nms Building by Franz Architekten

The Borg + Nms Building – a blue clad, multi-storey school and city council office – has been built in Deutsch-Wagram in Austria by Vienna-based architectural practice, Franz Architekten. Using coloured panels, the building’s exterior incorporates a variety of gradient tones of sky blue, giving it a fresh appearance that complements its natural surroundings and central pond.

Franz Architekten’s solution indicates a move within the industry towards the use of a single colour as a dominant feature of a building, introducing tonal variants to add interest and break up the vast structure.
