Bicycle Vending Machines

Bicycle vending machines are being rolled out in New York. The first is located at Brooklyn’s Times Up! Bike Co-Op at 99 S 6th St, close to Willamsburg Bridge. The vending machine stocks everything a cyclist could need – from sunglasses to T-shirts and even BlackBerries.

Meanwhile in Minneapolis, Bike Fixtation has also launched bicycle vending machines. However, these machines focus on repairs, stocking essentials such as patch kits, and even a free air compressor. So far there is only one, installed at the city’s train station. But the founders of Bike Fixtation, Chad and Alex, plan to sell the vending machines to other key cycling cities.
