London Men’s Street Style

London’s first standalone men’s fashion week – London Collections: Men – drew an international crowd of press, buyers and bloggers, allowing for numerous micro trends and directions to emerge on the streets. One such direction for accessories was the document holder, which was seen in various guises across the weekend.

From classic and dapper, to quirky and offbeat, the clutch-style bag was the accessory of choice for men. Zip-up and envelope styles were spotted with a variety of textures on show, including leather and embossed leather for an upmarket look, and grosgrain and canvas for a more low-key aesthetic. Mostly worn tucked under arm or in the crook of the elbow, the piece added an edge of easy sophistication to both relaxed and tailored aesthetics.

London Collections: Men ran from June 15-17 2012. Look out for Stylus’ complete coverage of the event, coming soon.
