Galliano Gazette: E-commerce Launch


After a brand-damaging year for the house of John Galliano following the firing of its eponymous designer, the luxury label has bounced back to launch its very first e-commerce site – just in time for the holiday season.

Entitled the Galliano Gazette and designed to look like a newspaper, the site includes a diary-style blog and enhanced shopping tools, such as “searchandising”, which provides product suggestions based on real-time online activity.

Key pieces from the Galliano Autumn 2011-12 ready-to-wear line feature heavily, while mentions of the man himself are few and far between – bolstering the profile of new creative director Bill Gaytten, one of Galliano’s original artistic lynchpins.
