Geanne Welles: PLAY.SCAPE

Textile designer Geanne Welles presented PLAY.SCAPE – a felt floor puzzle inspired by online imagery of the earth’s surface – as part of the Hague’s Royal Academy of Art showcase at Milan 2011.

Laser-cut felt pieces were layered to make up selected areas of aerial images that Welles felt inspired by. The felt tiles allow users to create their own unique landscapes as a form of play, encouraging people to reimagine their own world.
