Argentina’s Wi-Fi Car

American car manufacturer Chevrolet has launched Argentina’s first Wi-Fi equipped car in partnership with Google.

Produced in Argentina, the limited edition car (only 200 have been made) uses a 3G router, allowing passengers to access the internet in the vehicle with any Wi-Fi enabled device free of charge for the first year.

Sebastián Valverde, commercial director of the automotive industry at Google Argentina, declared: "This alliance brings to life the convergence of technology in these industries in the country and [Google has] found an ally in General Motors to realise the challenge of uniting connectivity and mobility.
